I have been exploring Quest Atlantis a bit this week. I was very confused at first and could not figure out where to go and what I was supposed to do. It seemed very pointless to me because I could not find an objective. I knew I was supposed to collect lumins, but could not figure out how or where to get them, nor could I figure out how to tell if I had any. I spent quite a bit of time on it a few days ago and was able to figure out what Maq wanted me to do. I found the other person he wanted me to go to and followed those directions. I have problems with it though because sometimes when it gives me a place to be (8s 3w for example), I go there and there is nothing there. I kind of have to wander around and eventually it pops up in the same place where I was.
I got a chance to play on Quest Atlantis again today, thanks to the snow day we had! I earned a Q-skin, by completing the compassionate part. I had to help a animal helper make a decision about which child to give a dog back to. This was interesting. I saw how this game could incorporate different subjects. I had to write a few sentences about how I came up with my decision. This could be used in a classroom to prompt students to write about something they are interested in.
I'm stuck! It says I need to go to the arch keeper at 2N 3E...but when I go there there is nothing there. It is just the side of a mountain. I can't seem to find where I need to go. I am very confused and frustrated.

I have been trying to play quest Atlantis today, but it won't open..It keeps saying Quest Atlantis has closed unexpectedly, and asks me if I want to send an error message. This has happened about a dozen times today, any suggestions?
Feb. 13
I ended up having to uninstall and reinstall the game on my computer today. I am not sure what happened. I have been Questing for a while now and trying to find the wooden doors on the hill to find Otak for about 45 minutes now. I finally found it! Otak said I earned a Shardflower, he says it is how I show my lumins. I talked to the monkeys, Tully and Koe. I saw a scroll and learned about the I-burst rules. After completing that mission I earned 7 more lumins! I am excited that I was able to figure it out!

I got to play Quest again today and I learned about a new world. I entered the Unity world. At first I could not figure it out but I realized if I clicked on a fire/log looking icon when teleported home, it gave me a list of worlds I could enter. The Unity world was different and it took me a minute to get acclimated to the different environment. I was helping a school counselor with a new student that he was having problems with. In this I learned about similes and metaphors which was interesting. I can see how this could make the learning fun for the students involved in this game. I played her at the library at school and I did not have as many problems as I do at home. I have a mac computer and I did some research on this game and the programing is not up to date with the newest version of Mac Os that I have, which is why it is causing so many problems on my computer. I just need to find more time to play here at school.
I have now earned 31 lumins! I have been doing better at school here, but have been struggling to have time to play the game. Sally's journal review was one of the Quest's that I completed and it had very complicated steps to it. I figured out how to teleport to the Unity world.
